PUSANG GALA

I will not make any movie review on this, but I am telling you you should watch this movie

I have to insist on James yesterday that we should watch "Mga Pusang Gala", a pinoy indie film. Our time were not wasted. All I could say was acting was superb in this film. Irma Adlawan and Ricky Davao delivered a superb performance, if the two won't be nominated for their acting in this film, I don't know what kind of award giving bodies we have. Supporting roles were okay especially that of newcomer Lauren Novero. Lauren's presence in the film is so refreshing, you will love him. He is way way way better than those craps who are products of artista search.



It is too bad that for a talented actress like Irma Adlawan, it was only now that she was given a lead role in a motion picture (she is already an acclaimed stage actress). But then again, it is not too late. It is high time that Filipinos should be able to see what great acting is all about like what Adlawan could deliver and not those sappy performances of Claudine Barreto and the likes.

The story and script is also great. Well, what else can you expect from a story based on a stage play "Mga Estranghero at ang Gabi" which won a fist place in Palanca?
